Spring Cleaning

Happy Valentines Day from Valley Vista Pool Care!! That means spring is just around the corner. As we move into the warm spring months here in Arizona it's time to start thinking about getting your pool ready for some water relaxation. Most of us, don't think about the pool in the winter since the water is so cold but soon enough it will be warm enough to dip your toes in. 

Pool's work much harder in the warm and hot months, and a few preventive maintenance measures can go along way to having a stress-free pool this season. First, make sure the filter is clean, backwash those sand filters, and clean the cartridges or DE elements if it has been over 6 months. Secondly, test your stabilizer this helps lock in the chlorine your adding from UV rays, and other elements. Lastly, if your pool hasn't been drained in the last 4 to 5 years now is a great time to get that done while it is still cool out. These few tips, will go along way, in enjoying your pool this season versus the headache of fighting algae, a green pool, and a higher cost of chemicals.
