Pool Service Agreement

The following terms and conditions apply to the service: 

  1. Safety Issues:The homeowner/resident is responsible to maintain code compliance with the city on issues such as fencing and gates, backwash/waste lines and all other applicable safety issues.
  2. Water Level/Time Clocks:If water is needed, we will add water while on site and will turn it off when we leave. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to maintain proper water levels. Time clocks must run 8-10 hours in the summer.
  3. Chemicals:All basic chemicals (tabs, acid, shock) are included and stored on our vehicles. All other chemicals, when needed such as algaecides, phosphate removers, stabilizers, and salt, will be charged extra and will be invoiced separately and will be used ONLY ‘as needed’.  We will note the date and quantity used on your monthly bill.  If a pattern of extra chemical use develops, you will be contacted and we will discuss the situation.
  4. Payment Terms:Service is billed at the beginning of the month for that current service month and must be paid by the 15th of the same month to insure uninterrupted service. A 10% late fee per monthwill be assessed to your bill for late payments. The second month, service will stop until balance is received. 
  5. Repairs:are billed when completed and are due on completion date. You can also pay using all major credit cards. All major repairs will be communicated and approved by customer prior to service. Any repairs over $300 require 50% deposit before work can begin. Any repairs/parts under $30 will be done as a matter of routine maintenance.
  6. Access To Your Pool:Locked Gates: Please provide a combination lock or 2 copies of the gate key to provide uninterrupted service. If in the event, we arrive on our regular scheduled day and we are not able to access the pool there will be no credit for this missed visit.
  7. On Rainy Days:Only a chemical service and empting of baskets will be performed or maybe made up the next day depending on the situation. (No refunds will be given for this type of service.)
  8. Termination: Either party with no advance notice may terminate service at will. If you need service for summer months only, your billing will be a flat rate plus chemical cost at the market rate.
  9. Pets:The homeowner/resident is responsible to contain and restrain their pets; we will not enter the yard if pets are aggressive.
  10. Additional Cleanup Charges:We define service time between 10-20 minutes per visit, in the event that the pool is unusually dirty at time service or in the event that the pool receives excessive debris and or dirt load due to homeowner/resident, landscaping, excessive wind or monsoon, there will be an additional charge for the additional labor time, which will vary depending on severity of debris (not to exceed $25). Please make sure your landscape is in-order prior to monsoon season, and make sure to empty baskets between visits to help prevent additional labor and chemical charges.
  11. Filtration:Needs to be kept in good operating order. Sand filter media should be changed every 5 years. D.E. and Cartridge Filters will be broken down and cleaned twice a year (spring and fall) There is a $100 charge for this service, which will be completed and billed automatically unless you request to do it yourself or request prior notification prior to servicing.
  12. Liability:Under the terns of this agreement, Valley Vista Pool Care will not be held responsible for any staining of plaster. Since plaster is composed of natural materials, a certain amount of shading, staining and color variation is to be expected. Different forms of staining occur in all pools and with proper chemistry can be held to a minimum.
  13. Vacation:We bill our clients on a monthly basis (48 weeks) the remaining 3 weeks will be used as vacation and personal/sick time. We take this time strategically, not to interfere with the pool season, normally in March, October, and Christmas week. All clients will be notified of vacation weeks. The 4th week will be a free extra service if no sick/personal time is needed.
  14. Service Days:Are not guaranteed due to occasional changes in route layouts. However, your service will be on the same day of the week unless otherwise notified of a change.
   15.  Referral Program-We look forward to providing you with a quality pool service, and we appreciate you referring us to friends, family, and co-workers. As a “thank you” you will receive 1 month FREE when they establish new service with us.
